Allume’s SolShare is the world’s only behind-the-meter Solar PV Sharing System. Providing functionality to supply the AC energy outputted from a solar PV inverter to multiple grid-connected flats. Classed as a direct connection of solar PV to each flat, SolShare unlocks the many benefits of solar to blocks of flats, simply and affordably.
Shared Solar
The behind-the-meter solution requires no change to existing electrical infrastructure and is intuitively designed to make the installation process as simple as possible for solar installers.
A SolShare unit is placed between the inverter and the flats grid supply. Receiving one three-phase AC input from the inverter and outputting up to 15 single-phase AC outputs. Three outputs can be combined for a three-phase connection like the Landlord supply. SolShare 35 has a maximum input capacity of 35 amps per phase (typically paired with a 10 to 20kW inverter) and can be connected to 15 single-phase flats. The technology is modular e.g. 100 flats can be connected via 7 SolShares. Meters can be located inside or outside of the flats. The solar point of connections is at the consumer unit or meter isolator respectively.
